PROJECT STATEMENT

This project aims to challenge the traditional tower typology by breaking it down into fragments and then reforming it. The process involves exploring the geometry of fractured geological formations and creating sharp seams on the exterior. The interior is made using soft tufted fabrics that provide a tactile and visually pleasing experience. The new architectural language created is reformed by stitching and suturing the different volumes of the tower with multi-scalar weaving and tufting. This inverts the traditional tectonic to the interior and creates a distinct tactile experience.
